Elizabeth Genovese, MD, MBA, FACOEM, of Bala Cynwyd, Pa. has received the 2006 Meritorious Service Award from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). Dr. Genovese was recognized during the Opening Session of the 2006 American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC), the College’s annual spring meeting.

Created in 1948, the Meritorious Service Award recognizes an ACOEM member for unique achievements in occupational and environmental medicine. Dr. Genovese was honored for her continued commitment to serving ACOEM as a contributing editor to the ACOEM Occupational Medicine Practice Guidelines and editor of its supporting newsletter APG Insights…

Dr. Genovese is Medical Director of IMX Medical Management Services, Inc., a provider of independent medical examinations FCEs, and review services. She is also on the faculty for the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine’s occupational medicine residency program.

Dr. Genovese received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and her MBA in health care from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in occupational medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also certified by the American Board of Utilization Review and Quality Assurance and is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner.
