I am a biologist and research scientist who has examined human sexuality and behavioral endocrinology since 1975. In 1986, with colleagues at the University of Pennsylvania, I discovered that sexually active young men do produce pheromones. In 1993, I successfully formulated and marketed synthesized human female pheromones in Athena Pheromone 10:13^tm fragrance additive for women. 10:13 has been proven effective; an independent study of women in 2001 found that 10:13 worked for 74% to increase their sexual attractiveness to men.

In 1994, I conducted an 8-week, tightly controlled scientific study of 38 heterosexual men who used their favorite aftershave lotion. Compared to the men who used a placebo, 74% of the men who mixed 10X with their fragrance experienced increased romantic attention from women. In 1998, this study was evaluated by scientific peers, accepted, and published in the journal, Archives of Sexual Behavior.

Science’s "gold standard" test of whether a product works is called a double-blind, placebo-controlled study. Few, if any cosmetics you buy have ever had such efficacy studies. But both our products, 10X for men and 10:13 for women, have been so tested.
